You will often find on our website deals, such as 10% of the bikes value in parts – detailed below - or reduced costs on certain items or combinations. While we are happy to offer these deals online, we are unable to offer them in our high street stores. Our mailorder dept. operates from our warehouse which is already accounted for, requires few staff to operate and has no shop-front, fixtures or fittings. As mailorder overheads are lower, we can afford to offer discounted rates, while this is not possible in our shops who have many more staff, shop fronts, fixtures and fittings.

Where prices are stated on our site as "web only £x.xx", this means the offer will not be available by visiting one of our shops and is only available by visiting our website or calling our mailorder line (02380 527870). We do have numerous offers which apply to both web and shop front sales, these would be displayed as "£x.xx".

10% Free stuff with bikes

With all new 2007 model year bikes, listed at the usual price, we are happy to offer 10% of the bikes value in parts or accessories. For example, a Specialized Hardrock priced at £299.99 at time of check out, will automatically credit your basket with £29.99 left to spend. This is not redeemable against a 2nd bike and not offered on any discounted bikes. You are welcome to purchase an item/s worth more than your credit and pay the extra. The total free credit may not be exchanged for cash i.e. £29.99 off the price of the bike.

e.g. Specialized Hardrock Sport = £299.99 plus Blackburn EX-1 Pannier rack = £29.99 equals a total of £299.99

10% free stuff is one of two options available against new full priced bikes. This promotion cannot be combined with any other offer and is not available in-store (see Web Prices above).

Finance options

With all new 2007 model year bikes, listed at the usual, full retail price, we are happy to offer 0.0% finance with our finance suppliers, Black Horse Ltd. At time of purchase, we will contact you to obtain personal details such as place of work, address, bank account number and sort code and credit card details. We will then contact Black Horse Ltd for authorisation. Upon approval we will debit 10% of the bikes value to your credit card. Black Horse Ltd will then debit 6, 12 or 18 equal monthly instalments until your balance is reduced to £0GBP.

We offer 6 months 0.0% finance on bicycles valued £500 and up.
We offer 12 months 0.0% finance on bicycles valued £1000 and up.
We offer 18 months 0.0% finance on bicycles valued £1500 and up.

If you wish to buy a £1500 bicycle and pay off the balance over 6 months, you are welcome to do so, but it is not possible to buy a £500 bicycle and pay off the balance over a longer period than 6 months.

You are not able to cancel the finance agreement once it is set in motion, but you do have options to pay off the remaining balance after ¼, ½ or ¾ of the way through your finance period.

0.0% finance is one of two options available against new full priced bikes. This promotion cannot be combined with any other offer, but is available mailorder or in our stores.

USE OF YOUR INFORMATION

CREDIT REFERENCE AGENCIES
In considering your application for credit Black Horse Ltd will search your record at Credit Reference Agencies. They will add details of this search and your application to your record and this will be seen by other organisations that make searches. Information held about you by the credit reference agencies may already be linked to records relating to other people with whom you have a financial association. In connection with your application you may be treated as financially linked with them and assessed with reference to any such associated records.

If you are a joint applicant or if you have told us of some other financial association with another person, you are declaring that you are entitled to:

• disclose information about your joint applicant and anyone else referred to by you
• authorise us to search, link or record information at credit reference agencies about you and anyone else referred to by you.

Black Horse will use a credit scoring system when assessing your application.

Black Horse will also add to your record with the credit reference agencies details of your agreement with them, the payments you make under it and any default or failure to keep to its terms and any change of address you fail to tell them about where a payment is overdue.

It is important that you provide accurate information. Black Horse will check your details with fraud prevention agencies, and if you give false or inaccurate information and they suspect fraud, they will record this.

These records will be shared with other organisations and used by Black Horse and them to:

• help make decisions about credit and credit related services such as insurance for you and members of your household
• trace debtors, recover debt, prevent money laundering and fraud, and to manage your accounts.

For these purposes Black Horse or they may make further searches. Although these searches will be added to your record, they will not be shared with others.

Black Horse, the credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies will also use your record for statistical analysis about credit and about insurance and fraud.

Fraud prevention agency records will also be shared with other organisations to help make decisions on motor, household, credit, life and other insurance proposals and insurance claims for you and members of your household.

SHARING YOUR INFORMATION WITH OTHERS

Black Horse will keep information about you and about your agreement on a group database. Any company in their group with which you have an agreement or which receives an application from you may use and update this centrally held information for the purposes of such agreement and application, to help establish your identity, to recover amounts owing and to prevent fraud.

Black Horse may pass information about you and about your agreement to anyone they have appointed to help administer your agreement, to your credit insurer for administration, claims handling and fraud prevention (which could include passing it to other insurers), to insurance companies or to recover amounts owing or to anyone to whom they transfer the agreement. They may discuss your agreement with the supplying retailer.

Black Horse will share information about your application, and its outcome, with us.

You have a right to receive a copy of the information Black Horse hold about you if you apply in writing. A fee will be payable.

USE OF YOUR INFORMATION FOR MARKETING PURPOSES

Black Horse may use your information in order to select and tell you about products and services available from them or other companies in their Group and the Lloyds TSB group of companies which may be of interest to you and Black Horse may share your information with them for analysis for marketing purposes or so that they may contact you about their products and services. Black Horse may also use your information to tell you about products and services which they can introduce from selected businesses outside their Group. They may pass your information to the retailer, or the manufacturer and all companies within the manufacturer group for possible further business with you and agencies conducting market research for them and to selected insurers who may use it for marketing purposes.

TELEPHONE CALLS

Black Horse may monitor or record some telephone calls but for the purposes only of maintaining and improving their service standards or for training their staff.

The companies in the Black Horse group include Black Horse Limited and other subsidiaries.
