For ultimate in single ring performance, throw the new Rotor QX1 MTB 'Q-RINGS' on your REX single speed cranks. You’ll be using the same chain ring set up that led Christoph Sauser to victory at the Cross Country Marathon World Championships.

The QX1 has an increased ovality of 12.5% to help you accelerate better, feel less muscle fatigue, experience smoother torque and better grip off road.

The alternating thick/thin tooth profile keeps your chain from dropping in even the worst conditions, eliminating the need for a chain guide or tensioner.
It is compatible with Rotor Rex 1.1 and Rex 2.1, SRAM XX1 (GXP and BB30) and Specialized cranks thanks to crank specific spiders from Rotor.

76BCD ring option - Please note QX1 rings have a unique BCD and will need adaptor spiders listed to fit Specialized or SRAM single cranks

ROTOR Bike Components comes from one of the nerve centers of technological development in Spain, the Aeronautical Engineering School of Madrid.

The basic idea of the ROTOR System comes from this school where some students developed the initial prototype in 1995. After the Head of the school approved the project, the University's Manufacturing Department helped with the creation of the prototypes.

The designers decided to stablish a company to complete this product development and start a business venture.

After the first working ROTOR bycicle wass introduced internationally, Dr. Conconi showed a huge interest in the idea and asked for a bicycle to carry out a study on the performance of the system, concluding that the system provided advantages more than evident compared to traditional crank systems. Dr. Alfredo Cordova, from Valladolid University also found that later versions of ROTOR System provided biomechanical obvious advantages.
