Specialized Rockhopper Mountain Bikes

Where efficiency and capability cross paths.....the Rockhopper!

The Specialized Rockhopper is one of the longest running ranges in the Specialized catalog. With Performance, Reliability and Value in mind, the Rockhopper is designed for stretches of singletrack. Where efficiency and capability cross paths on the trail, you'll find the Rockhopper. The reasons are pretty simple. Sure , as a hardtail, it has some natural climbing ability, but what isn't so obvious is the low bottom bracket, roomy top tube, and ultra short chainstays. In other words, it puts out a planted, confident, and snappy ride over a diverse array of terrain. It's fast on the way up, and even faster on the way down.

Trail Geometry

Trail Geometry

To create the perfect trail experience, you need a little of everything. Climbing, descending, motoring over root and rock sections—the geometry needs to lend itself to doing it all. Our Trail Geometry was developed with this knowledge at the forefront of the design, and year after year, we keep perfecting on perfection. It all starts with handling, which is why you'll find roomy top tubes and slack head tubes that inspire confidence over any terrain. And to ensure maximum efficiency, our Trail Geometry always features the short chainstays to enhance power transfer, while also keeping the rear end nice and tight for nimble handling.

A1 Premium Frame

A1 Premium Frame

By controlling everything from the raw material to extrusion, butting, swaging, and heat treatment of the tubes, we’ve optimized our A1 Premium Aluminium frames for the best balance of ride characteristics. Our proprietary aluminium tubing blends high performance, light weight, and high value to create frames that are light, strong, and corrosion-resistant.

Multi Circuit Damping

Multi Circuit Damping

We don't believe in words like "average" and "value." Instead, we want every fork to perform how it should, which means that the all-too-common "pogo" effect of entry-level suspension forks is just unacceptable. To prevent this, our Multi-Circuit Damping technology features custom internals that deliver hydraulic damping and rebound control, effectively delivering performance well above its weight class on bumpy and rough terrain.

MTB Disc Brakes

MTB Disc Brakes

On the trail, the stopping power of disc brakes stands without rival. And whether they're hydraulic or mechanical, disc brakes provide increased modulation, power, and reliability through any condition or terrain. The design also works independent of the rim, so they come with the added benefit of performing with equal aplomb to get you home safely when your wheels are out of true. The combined result? You're able to ride with more confidence and control.
