Mavic Cross Max Elite 6 bolt Disc Brake Wheelset.
The Cross Max Elite six bolt disc brake wheelset from Mavic combines a simplistic but high tech approach for mountain bikers who are looking for who are looking to keep weight down but speed high. The Cross Max Elite made from Maxtal an exclusive aluminium alloy to Mavic that is 30 percent stronger and lighter than conventional 6106 alloy. The rim is 22 mm wide and with a hook less profile that is convertible to a Tubeless system that gives better grip when it matters most. Mavic's patented inter-spoke milling that is also found on Mavic's road wheels. This lightens the wheel by 15 percent. This also delivers more responsive handling, less drag plus better acceleration and climbing.
The Cross Max Elite six bolt is laced with 24 double butted straight pull spokes. Laced in a two cross pattern for greater stiffness. The hubs are 100x15mm through axle on the front and 142x12mm on the rear. The rear hub is equipped Mavic's instant transfer system that utilises 4 pawls working in pairs that give faster engagement. The wheelset is equipped with high quality sealed cartridge bearings that are highly efficient plus being highly durability. The hub are compatible with Shimano or Sram 11 speed cassettes.
The wheel set is paired with Pulse Pro tyre that features a light but strong casing and X-mix dual compound with softer compound on the shoulder and a harder compound in the center.
