Birzman multi-tools – A closer look

Birzman new in
Birzman, one of the newest additions to Hargroves Cycles is now available to buy in store and online.
I’ve been taking a closer look at a couple of their multi-tools, the E-version 5 and the feezman alloy 12. The E-version 5 is the cheapest multi-tool that Birzman make at just £7.99. However don’t be put off by the low price; the tool is completely made of metal with no plastic parts. It has the feel of something very well made with a very rugged, practical design. It features 4, 5 and 6 mm hex keys, a torx 25 and a crosshead screwdriver. So as a tool to have in your saddlebag it has got all the essentials should something go wrong.

The bigger brother to the E-version 5 is the Feezman 12. This is a much more comprehensive tool with a wide array of gizmos that’ll cover you in even the worst circumstances. It is one of the best tools that Birzman make with a higher price tag of £29.99. The aluminium body helps reduce the weight of the tool as well as the drilled out hex keys. As the name of the tool suggests, it has 12 functions, a chain tool, cross and flat screw driver, tyre lever, torx 25 and 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8mm hex keys. The very compact design allows it to sit either in a saddle bag or a jersey pocket. With the higher end Birzman multi-tools you also get a rubber protective sleeve to maintain the look of this rather nice looking piece of kit!
