We are looking for a talented digital marketing manager to join our busy marketing team. The right candidate will own and drive forward the company’s digital marketing campaigns.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm (plus occasionally working weekends)

Salary: 25 – 30k depending on experience

Your role

As Digital Marketing Manager you will plan, deliver, report and continually optimise effective digital marketing campaigns for the company websites and identify opportunities to maximise traffic and sales revenue for the site.

You will help to create and propose the online marketing strategy, communicating the brand online and bringing visitors to the site to browse and ultimately, buy. To that effect you would play a key role in influencing site content and functionality, and creating an industry leading process to grow the company websites.

You will own the PPC management and work with the marketing team to optimise any website under the Hargroves Cycles umbrella. Your marketing talents may also be called upon to contribute to our in-store experience, social media and attending events.

This role will also include an element of each of the stores via online content, local listings and to generate engaging news about product launches, new in store products and local community news to drive website traffic and footfall in to store.

Key responsibilities

  • Daily PPC campaign management
  • Create and manage the company’s SEO strategy
  • Oversee the company’s digital marketing budget
  • Monthly reporting on digital marketing campaigns against key metrics including profitability, keyword rankings and backlink profiles
  • Creating bespoke marketing campaigns for promotional activity
  • Scheduling content on our social media profiles
  • Curate high quality content, blog posts, videos and other rich media
  • Creation and implementation of a link building strategy / outreach campaign
  • Competitor analysis
  • Regularly audit and optimise the company’s websites
  • Staying up to date with current and developing SEO & PPC trends
  • On accession attend a number of customer facing events,  demo weekends, VIP evenings and ride-outs
  • Adhere to all relevant legislation governing the running of the business, including but not limited to health and safety at work act 1974, data protection act 1998, hosting competitions, and distance selling regulations, finance selling and advertising regulations governing description accuracy
  • Any ad hoc duties required by the senior management team

Essential skills & experience

  • Proven track record with managing PPC and SEO campaigns
  • Excellent technical SEO skills and the ability to guide developers and designers in best practice technical SEO
  • Excellent Excel skills (you find spending time with Excel a pleasure not a chore)
  • Strong written, numerical and communications skills
  • Budget management skills
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics

  • Previous experience of working at an event
  • Experience of HTML / CSS / Photoshop
