Ian Field had one of the biggest weeks in his cyclocross career. On Friday he lead the Bpost Bank Trofee Koppenbergcross for the first two laps to finally finish 13th after an unlucky last minute puncture.

After a good gridding Ian took charge of the race going up the main Koppenberg climb extending his lead at one point to nearly 10 seconds. In front of a huge crowd and on live TV Ian certainly stirred up the home fans causing much debate amongst press and fans alike.

Ian was eventually caught and settled into a strong group inside the top ten. Nearing the end of the race his luck ran out when he punctured! A swift change got Ian back into the race allowing him to finally finish in 13th. What a result!

On Sunday Ian took on the Superprestige in the infamous sand mounds of Zonhoven. Fired up from his success on Friday Ian once again capitalised on a good gridding to finish 14th. Another great result from Ian!
