National Trophy Round 1 – Shrewsbury
This Sunday saw the 2014/15 National Trophy series get underway at Sundorne Sports Village, Shrewsbury.
The Hargroves/ Ridley RT were incredibly well represented, with a majority of the team lining up in their respective fields.

The amazing start to the season for the Hargroves team continued at Shrewsbury, with some excellent results.
Ian Field took victory in his first Sundorne race, with teammates Jody Crawforth, Tom van Den Bosch and Steve James coming 3rd, 4th and 7th respectively.

20 minutes in to the race, Ian Field cemented his dominance opening a huge gap from the trailing pack.
With Ian now guaranteed victory (barring any un-foreseen incidents) the trailing group started to take shape.
Jody continued his solid ride and finished third after a hard fought battle through the last technical section.
Van Den Bosch showed his experience, passing riders that hadn’t paced themselves to take fourth position.

This Round of the National Trophy also saw youngster Ben Tulett take his first victory in the under 14s category, and showed what a future talent he can be.
Another youngster showing his class was Harry Yates taking fourth place in the under 16s adding to his strong start to the season so far.

In her first National Trophy competition in three years, Ruby Miller took 8th place in the Elite womens race.
Hargroves/Ridley RT look to carry there positive start to the Trophy series in to round 2, on home soil in Southampton.
