South of England Championships

Steve James won the South of England championship for the second year in a row this weekend. Winning from a sprint finish from a group of 2 which Steve had lead from the start. Crispin Doyle had an extremely good day finishing 4th very close behind the 3 in front with Matt MacDonald in 6th it meant that Hargroves Cycles RT easily won the team prize. Andy Hargroves made a return from illness finishing in a credible 8th place.

In the junior race Matt Hargroves easily retained his title winning by over a minute. This showed how good Matt’s form is at the moment after an unlucky weekend in South Shields where a piece of ice put pay to his chances. Matt Woods finished in 3rd place with Harvey close behind in 4th. Tamina Oliver won the women’s race making it an amazing 3 for the day. Anna Cipullo wasn’t far behind in 4th place.

South East England Championships

Harry Franklin won the junior race in fine style riding away from the rest of the field and winning alone. Dan Tulett carried on his unbelievable form winning the youth race. Beating all the U16 by nearly 2 minutes! As an U14 it’s an amazing result! Ben Tulett followed on from his brother and won the U12’s race by a huge margin again. Making another 3 and a total of 6 regional championships in 1 weekend! An amazing achievement by all involved!
