Steve James Takes Third South of England Title

Steve James took his third successive Southern Regional Cyclocross Championship victory at Harwell near Didcot on Sunday. At the start of lap two Steve found himself out front alone after John Whittington slipped out on two successive corners and never made contact again. Steve took the opportunity and soloed to victory with almost 30 seconds to spare at the finish.

In the combined Vets/Juniors/Womens race Crispin Doyle eventually fought off Mike Simpson and Jamie Norfolk to take the overall win and Veterans prize in the Vets 40 category. Steve Davies once again proved he’s almost impossible to beat and took the Vets 50 prize.

A good day for the team capturing 3 regional championships titles. This Sunday the team will be heading for Bradford for the fifth round of the National Trophy.
