Winchester Crit Round Up
If you didn’t come down to Winchester this weekend for the racing, you missed out! The event was a blast with more than 500 people taking part in the family ride a whopping 100 more than last year!
If you went into the town to watch some of the exciting action, you would have had a hard time not to seen our demo bike area. Our demo area was full of the likes of the next Wiggins and trot trying balance bikes for the first timers to the old boys getting back on two wheels with an E-Bike.
We Also had next to the demo area our very popular Roller Racing that was in constant use; we had more than 100 individual users most of them kids! Some of them braver than the last as they took on the 1000m challenge ( Normally for kids 125m ) The fastest time for the normal distance was a whopping 10.08s an impressive time for such little legs!
All of the above making for a fantastic day out! But to add to our brilliant Hargroves day our team riders Ian Field and Jody managed to have an amazing race in the Cat1 race, with Ian taking the win and Jody coming in 3rd. As you can tell we are ecstatic about that result, we are also very proud of the rest of the Hargroves team and their valiant efforts!
A tight finish for the Elite men!
Fastest Men’s lap of the day goes to Andy Shackle
Fastest Lady’s lap of the day went to Lorna Bowler
