World Cyclocross Championship – Tabor
This weekend brought about the biggest race on the calendar, the World Championships.
Ian Field was the only British Elite to be selected to compete in Tabor, Czech Republic.
In the cold slippery conditions Ian had a great start and came through at the end of the first lap in 18th.
He maintain that position but pushed for 14th in the final lap but in doing so crashed quite hard and fell back to 21st.
This is still Ian’s best ever result at a World Elite championships and the best result of a GB elite male rider in the last 10 years.
Wessex League Round 14 – Tidworth
Also this weekend was the final round of the Wessex league.
Crispin Doyle turned up with the hope of taking home the league win!
After a fantastic start he led for the whole race and finished comfortably in front to take the win on the day and the Vet 40 league!
He then went on to compete in the elite race after and finished a very classy second place after his earlier exploits this was a special ride!
