E-commerce Product Merchandiser

Loaction: Romsey,Hampshire
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: Competitive


Got a passion for eCommerce and cycling?
We are looking for a product merchandiser for our online store. As part of the e-commerce team, you will be responsible for the creation, management and presentation of all product data. You will also be required to take a data-driven approach to merchandise products and product categories accordingly.
As part of a small team, you will also have the opportunity to get involved in many aspects of the online retail operation.

Responsibilities

  • Product data entry on EPOS systems
  • Owning all aspects of product data, including but not limited to; sourcing, image selection, product listing, discontinued product processing, pricing updates
  • Reporting on sales performance of products on a category, brand and product level
  • Writing unique product descriptions and content to optimise on-page SEO
  • Plan for new product launches in line with Buying and Marketing deadlines
  • Recommend products to marketing for planned promotions and emails
  • Be passionate about data quality and continual improvement
  • Analyse competitor listings
  • Google promotions and feed updates
  • Stock level updates
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

Preferred skills

You will be computer literate with a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with particular knowledge of Excel. Possessing strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you’ll have the ability to efficiently manage your time; and be a natural self-starter and team player with an eye for detail.
Ideally, you will be a keen cyclist with experience in a similar role.

Full Time Sales Assistant

Loaction: Southampton,Hampshire
Hours: 40 hours per week (including Saturdays)
Salary: Competitive depending on experience


We are looking to recruit a Full Time Sales Assistant to support our busy Southampton store to encourage and inspire our customers to ride more. This is a challenging role. Day to day you will be sharing your passion for cycling whilst advising our customers on the products and services they need. You will also be responsible for undertaking sales transactions and ensuring our store looks presentable at all times. As a Sales Assistant your main role is to provide excellent levels of customer service at all times. You will need to actively pursue all sales opportunities and ensure that customers are advised on suitable products for their individual needs. As part of the store sales team you will be required to maintain a smart, tidy, safe and well-merchandised working environment. You may be required to handle special orders, warranty returns, booking in jobs and dealing with customer issues. At times, you may be asked to help unload stock transfers.

Responsibilities

  • Have a solid understanding of cycling and the products available on the market
  • Excellent communication skills both with customers and working colleagues
  • Be able to work as part of a dynamic sales team
  • Have the drive to achieve and the self-motivation to maintain the highest of standards

Store Manager Winchester

We have an exciting job vacancy for a Store Manager in our busy Winchester branch. For the correct candidate this will be a rewarding but very challenging role building on the success of a well-established store.
As a Store Manager you will be reporting directly to the Managing Director and will be accountable for the performance along with the day to day running of the branch. Our Winchester store is an influential bike shop within the surrounding cycling community so a good knowledge of the local cycling scene is vital. The Store has huge potential to reach out to local customers so an understanding of how to develop and how to retain customers is key. You must have a comprehensive understanding of retail sales, merchandising and customer service best practice along with a successful track record within a similar role either in management or as a team leader. You must also be passionate about cycling and have an understanding of current and future cycling trends in both your local market and the national arena. As a Hargroves Cycles Store Manager you are a brand ambassador and with that you will become the face of the Winchester branch. A professional and positive proactive manner is essential within this exciting role. Normal working hours are 40 hours per week averaged over a two-week period, including alternate weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the best practice guide for customer service.
  • Drive sales.
  • Lead, motivate and monitor both sales performances along with individual performance in accordance with individual progression plans.
  • Identify store strengths, weaknesses and opportunities.
  • Perform day to day administration duties as you are accountable for the store running. Some examples of the day to day tasks include cashing up, reconciling till discrepancies, staff rotas and timesheets, warranty returns, stock control, banking, postage, general paperwork, etc.
  • To liaise with the Managing Director on future sales plans / merchandising and requesting relevant stock materials and point of sale materials needed.
  • Liaise with the Managing Director to ensure a stable financial unit within Hargroves Cycles.
  • Maintain a high standard of Store housekeeping and ensuring that safety within the work place is adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure that the Store and the workforce are compliant to all Hargroves Cycles policies and guidelines are adhered to.
  • To manage and actively create an in-store training programme covering a multitude of topics including induction training, EPOS training, customer service training, etc.

Bike Mechanic Chichester

Loaction: 106-108 The Hornet, Chichester, West Sussex PO19 7JR
Hours: 40 hours per week averaged over a two-week period, including alternate weekends

We are looking for a Bike Mechanic to join our Chichester store. The successful candidate will have industry experience, a passion for cycling, be able to build, repair and service all kinds of bikes, and advise our customers on the products and services they need. Responsibilities

  • Maintenance, repairs and servicing
  • Providing excellent levels of customer service
  • Actively pursue all sales opportunities and ensure that the customer is advised on suitable product for their individual needs

  • Complete daily and weekly duties ensuring the smooth running of the store
  • Handling special orders, warranty returns, booking in jobs and customer issues

  • Aid in unloading stock transfers
  • Play an active role in maintaining an efficient stock management system

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of an extensive range of cycle equipment as you will be building bikes; identifying faults and deciding what kind of repairs or maintenance are needed
  • You will need to be thorough and be able to pay attention to detail
